TNA Xplosion: Air Date 23rd July 2014

I didn't mention the six-sided ring in my Impact review, so I'll mention it here.

It's nice to see it.

And now Xplosion.

Possibly the most amazing thing is that I have no reason to complain about the flashback match.

Why would I? Austin Aries and Bobby Roode are both still in TNA, so I can't whinge about that.

And the match itself was fantastic, of course. After all, it's Roode and Aries.

This was a refreshing change from matches with men no longer in the company.

And I think I'll feel better disposed towards them, now.

Another positive? Jeremy Borash and Rockstar Spud presenting together.

It was funny, and made bringing up British Boot Camp 2 easier.

Good job, TNA.

But on a more negative note, the flashback interviews.

I've finally worked out that Xplosion plays interviews from not the most recent Impact, but the one before.

And that would work. Except that those interviews? Were generally on Impact too.

We're getting repeats. Not extra content.

And there's such a simple fix.

Cut the interviews from Impact. Add an X Division, Tag Team or Knockouts match. Put the interviews online and on Xplosion.

It's not hard.

At least the Impact Wrestling Rewind is honest in what it's doing.

And finally, the Xplosion Xclusive.

Why did Velvet Sky get a Knockouts Championship shot?

... ah well. Probably not important. And her match with Gail Kim was a lot of fun.

As was the whole episode, really.

More Xplosions like this, please.
